How to request accessibility testing from the GDS

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: Accessibility, Testing

We get lots of requests to provide guidance on building accessible services, and also for us to test the products that are being developed as part of the exemplar program or the GOV.UK platform.

The Service Manual guidance on accessibility testing states that we aim to test products end-to-end at least twice before they go live, so it's vital that we get involved as early into the process as possible to head off any potential problems.

If you need any guidance or testing from us, please email us at accessibility@digital.cabinet-office.gov.uk so we can add your request to our testing calendar and prioritise it accordingly.

Because of the current size of the team and the amount of different projects we're currently supporting, we'd ask that you try and give us at least two week's notice when requesting testing time, but we'll try and be as flexible as we can to support you.
